#IMFROMJERSEY #1 TRENDING TOPIC ON TWITTER 02/18/10 @TayoSupreme pulls NJ together!

Yesterday, #imfromJersey became a #1 worldwide trending topic. What was started by @tayosupreme, was quickly followed by @DJWALLAH @ALLJERSEYRADIO and everyone from Jersey as they tweeted #imfromJersey in all of their tweets. @TayoSupreme now joins @LowKeyUHTN and @ALLJERSEYRADIO in setting trending topics on Twitter.

What was unique about yesterday is Jersey did what was unthinkable. prior topics by @LowKeyUHTN have trended along with AJR's #attheendoftheday a joke that created a spiral effect during Chris Brown's interview with Angie Martinez on Hot 97. It was clear @TayoSupreme trended what many said could never be done. It also sparked other states like New York to attempt other #imfrom topics.

Twitter experts would suggest #imfromjersey a unlikely topic to trend, because Jersey is a small state, and it takes well over 300,000 of tweets to trend. Yesterday New Jersey proved them wrong. Everyone repped Jersey and proved to each other we can come together.

It was crazy to see!
